*Moonstar steps onto the Riverstone, sighing. Would he regret this? They had prved themselves loyal. But there was that one incident, and Lostpaw...he shudders, but yowls,* Let all cats old enough to catch there own prey join here beneath the Riverstone for a Clan meeting. *Too late to turn back now... He thinks.* Lostpaw, Icepaw, can you come here please? *He calls. Lostpaw nervously casts a look toward Icepaw, but goes up onto the Riverstone.*

Before I say what I wish to say, any cat who wishes to challenge my judgement is welcome. Whether fighting with your tongue or claws. *He sweeps his piercing green stare over the cats below. Then says,* I, Moonstar, leader of RiverClan call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as a warrior in their turn. Icepaw and Lostpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?

I...do. *Lostpaw says slowly, seeming afraid it will just be a cruel joke or a dream. Mooonstar continues,* Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior names. Icepaw, from this moment you will be known as Icefur. Lostpaw, from this moment you'll be known as Lostshadow. StarClan honors your courage and your loyalty, and we welcome you as a full warrior of RiverClan. *Moonstar rests his muzzle on Lostshadow's head, who licks his shoulder. Then he rests his muzzle on Icefur's head.*

*Moonstar drinks in the new warrior's scent, seeming to forget the fact he hates being touched, even for ceremonies.* When I thought you had turned comepletely rogue, I vowed you would no longer be my apprentice... *He confesses quietly.* I kept that vow. But not in the way I expected.

Icefur! Lostshadow! *The RiverClan cats chant, though some seem more reluctant than others. A black apprentice with piercing green eyes looks up and sneers, particualarily at Lostshadow.* I never though my father would lead a Clan of traitors. *He mutters in disgust.*

*Icefur overhears Rainpaw, but ignores him. Turning to Lostshadow, he whispered,* DO you really love me, Lostshadow? * Making sure Moonstar dosn't overhear*

*Lostshadow's hackles rise and her claws unsheathe as she imagines throwing herself off the Riverstone and making that scum of an apprentice shriek that she and Icefur are loyal RiverClan warriors, but decides that isn't the proper behavior for a new warrior, and hear Icefur. Her dark amber eyes meet his icy blue ones.* Yes, Icefur, I do.

That is all. *Moonstar leaps down from the Riverstone, walking away with Rainpaw following him, murmuring something uncatchable to him, but the words 'half-traitor, half-rogue', 'traitor', and 'too willing to turn against the Clan' can be heard. Lostshadow's hackles rise, and her claws unsheathe, staring at the apprentice with a venomous look.*
