**Coming soon after one of my other stories.
I like the Sight the best.
Excerpts for the Tigerstar stories. One is just his past, the other is what if Tigerstar wasn't evil (I was disappointed when I found out Tigerclaw was evil in ITW, but I got over it in future books, 'cause then there wouldn't be a plot. Still, I wanted to see what could've happened.)
Tigerstar's History:
Prologue
Thistleclaw paced outside the nursery, impatience shining in his amber eyes. Smokepool, the gray-black medicine cat exited, and nodded at Thistleclaw.
“Your kits and Dappletail are just fine. You can go see them.” The dark brown tabby entered, looking down at his kits. There was a golden tabby, and dark brown one, like himself. They seemed strong enough. Despite Thisteclaw’s rough and tumble attitude, he couldn’t disguise his pride.
“What did you name them?” He asked. The tortoiseshell queen nudged them closer to her.
“Lionkit and Tigerkit. Aren’t they lovely?” The dark brown tabby twitched his large shoulders.
“I guess.” Thistleclaw replied curtly. Meanwhile, Smokepool examined the stars, and gasped. StarClan had a message for him!
Tigerkit shall be a great warrior. However, greatness comes in different forms.
“What does it mean?” He muttered.
What If? Story:
The black apprentice struggled with the RiverClan warrior, fighting for the Sunningrocks, his Clan, and life. The dark warrior sank his teeth into the apprentice’s shoulder. The black tom squealed in pain, but slashed a claw across his opponent’s face.
“Get off our territory!” He hissed as the warrior fled. A tortoiseshell with a ginger tail saw this, impressed.
“Your apprentice is coming along, Tigerclaw. It should be his warrior ceremony in a few moons.” He murmured to the dark brown tabby fighting alongside him. The tabby’s reply was a simple grunt, but the tortoiseshell could see the pride shining in his amber eyes.
“Redtail, he’s hurt.” The other warrior suddenly said. Redtail looked at the apprentice and nodded.
“Ravenpaw! Go hide in a crack until this over!” The black apprentice looked up at his elder, shaking.
“But what about…”
“Listen to the deputy!” Tigerclaw growled. Ravenpaw hurried off at his mentor’s sharp words. He squeezed into a crack, watching with apprehension. Redtail was wrestling with a red-brown tom. The RiverClan cat was under an overhanging rock, and it fell! Redtail barely backed away in time. The ThunderClan deputy stared, shocked.
“Oakheart…I never meant…” The tortoiseshell shook his head. He couldn’t waste time grieving. To his delight, Ravenpaw saw they had won! RiverClan was hurrying across the river. However, his delight turned to horror as Redtail ran into the forest. A dark tabby pinned him in the shadows. The black apprentice’s vision was clouded because of his wound, and the were shadows, but he could see it was big, dark brown tabby…
“Great StarClan!” Ravenpaw gasped. It looked exactly like Tigerclaw!
The small tortoiseshell spat at the dark brown tabby.
“What mean of trickery is this, Blackstripe? Are RiverClan cold blooded killers?” He growled. The tabby stared down pitilessly.
“It will be impressive that I killed the ThunderClan deputy.” He replied simply, and bit down on Redtail‘s throat. Tigerclaw lunged forward, horror and rage dancing in his amber eyes. He slashed his claw across Blackstripe’s eye. Before the RiverClan warrior could react, Tigerclaw’s teeth made their mark on the same eye. The evil tom collapsed, dead.
“Redtail! Please…” The tortoiseshell looked up weakly.
“I…hope someday…you will be…deputy. If I had…become…leader, you…would’ve been my…first choice.” He rasped.
“Don’t talk like that! I’ll be deputy under you or no one else!” Tigerclaw snarled. Redtail laughed.
“You have too much ambition for that. Goodbye…”
Tigerclaw carried his friend’s body home, the tortoiseshell’s body seeming to get heavier with each step. But it wasn’t Redtail who was getting heavier; it was Tigerclaw’s heart, weighed down by grief and guilt. Why couldn’t he have saved Redtail? This was all his fault. Looking down, he nearly ran into Ravenpaw. His apprentice stared up in terror, and ran off. Tigerclaw’s lip curled as he was struck with realization. Ravenpaw had seen Redtail’s death! He just stood by and watched, and now he was running from Tigerclaw’s wrath. Anger rushed through the dark brown tabby. He could never forgive Ravenpaw, and as long as he was his apprentice, the black tom would pay.
