OK, angst warning though. And it's actually some minor FeatherXHawkXLeaf, because HawkXLeaf is too pwnsome a pairing to ignore. I feel like putting the quote that inspired me (not exact, I can't find my copy of Dawn and I'm too lazy to look for it): "Hawkfrost said Feathertail would still be alive if I hadn't been meddling in the affairs of other Clans." I was re-reading it the other day and I realized it could be seen as Hawkfrost looking for someone to take out his grief on...anyway.
The dark brown tabby patrolled the ThunderClan border, his eyes narrowed menacingly. He wanted to see how ThunderClan was holding up, to see if RiverClan could take their territory. Also, he wondered if a certain cat was visiting ThunderClan. Part of Hawkfrost, the RiverClan deputy, was looking for Feathertail. No matter how much Hawkfrost insisted it was soft thinking, he’d never get over her shining silver-gray pelt, her luminous blue eyes, and her neat thin frame… He shook his head. He couldn’t stand there day-dreaming. Especially because…he smelt an intruder. Hawkfrost leaped at the cat instantly, letting out a battle yowl. There was a loud oof from the dark brown tabby’s opponent as his weight crashed on the dark gray cat’s. It smelled vaguely familiar, but he disregarded it and sank his teeth into the intruder’s neck… “Hawkfrost! It’s me, Stormfur!” The gray cat gasped. Hawkfrost released his grip and stared down at the RiverClan warrior who had been missing for moons. The first words out of the deputy’s mouth were, “Where’s Feathertail?” The look of grief Stormfur gave him made Hawkfrost’s blood run cold. Had something happened to her? His mother was outside of the Clan and his father was dead. His half-siblings were in other Clans and didn’t even know about him, and his sister Mothwing was often busy with medicine cat duties. How could he someday run RiverClan without her? “I need to talk to Leopardstar first.” Stormfur insisted stubbornly, his voice raw with grief. Hawkfrost hesitated, mainly afraid of what he’d hear. Then he nodded. “Alright. Come with me.”
“Feathertail is dead.” Hawkfrost felt the ground shift beneath him at the words Stormfur said to Leopardstar and all of RiverClan. No…not Feathertail…not her. StarClan, please, anyone but her! “This is all your fault!” Hawkfrost screamed angrily, fury dancing in his ice-blue eyes. Stormfur gave him a startled look. “What?” “This is your own fault.” Hawkfrost meowed, trying to sound calm, and just upset at losing any other Clanmate, though wrath still dripping in his voice. “If you hadn’t gotten involved in the affairs of other Clans, Feathertail would still be with us!” Hawkfrost snarled. “But if it’s only the matter of the other Clans, why did Feathertail receive a sign…” Stormfur began, but Hawkfrost had slunk off alone. “I’m going hunting!” He called, then ran off.
Looking up to the sky, Hawkfrost whispered, “Feathertail, how could you leave me? Why?” The dark brown tabby stared at his paws grieved. How could StarClan take such a precious thing from him? How could StarClan show such…cruelty! “Are you alright?” A voice mewed gently. Hawkfrost looked across the border to see a small light brown tabby she-cat with a white chest and paws staring at him with warm amber eyes. He recognized the ThunderClan medicine cat apprentice, Leafpaw. Hawkfrost was about to growl, ‘Mind your own business!’ but for some reason he mewed, “I will be. I will be.” I will be, now that you’re here…

Before I post this I want to say something: I love Hawkfrost. And I love Brambleclaw. They're both cool characters. Unfortunately, I also love Monty Python. This parody makes fun of them a little, but it's all in good fun. They understand, right guys? *Brambleclaw and Hawkfrost nod.*
Brambleclaw was sick and tired of it. Tigerstar constantly visited he and his half-brother Hawkfrost in dreams, training them to follow in his pawsteps and try to take over the forest. Brambleclaw didn’t want to rule the forest. Brambleclaw didn’t want power. All he wanted to do was…sing. The idea sent happy shudders down his spine. He imagined dancing onstage, singing opera on Broadway, or just doing something as simple as singing one of his kits to sleep. He told no one about his longing to sing though. They’d all probably shake theirs heads and say, “StarClan, no, Brambleclaw. You need to try to takeover the forest like your father.” But one day, StarClan destined him to admit his ambition.
“Well? Kill him now!” Hawkfrost snarled as he stood over the ThunderClan leader Firestar. He had caught the unfortunate cat in a fox trap, and if Brambleclaw tightened the noose just a little…he’d lose all his remaining lives at once. And Brambleclaw, the new deputy of ThunderClan would be leader. The dark brown tabby cat hesitated, wondering whether to kill his leader, or admit his love for singing. I can’t kill my leader! Brambleclaw screamed inside. Then he screamed outside, “Look! I don’t want to rule the forest! I don’t even want to be deputy!” A wistful look entered the reluctant deputy’s amber eyes. “I just want to sing… To sing…to sing about love… To sing…to sing about life… To sing…” “Disgrace!” Tigerstar’s ghost screeched. “I knew Hawkfrost was always the good kit!” Hawkfrost stared at Tigerstar’s spirit for a second in silence, his blue eyes stretched wide open and his mouth gaping. Then he ran away, screaming, “A ghost! A ghost! Call ghostbusters!” “Something strange, in the neighborhood. There’s something weird, and it don’t look good…” Brambleclaw began. “Shut up!” Tigerstar shrieked, and disappeared, muttering, “Actually, I think Mothwing and Tawnypelt are the good kits. I just wanted some good little girls, but I got these two sons as well…” When Hawkfrost came back, he looked into his half-brother’s eyes with an unreadable expression. “Alright, Brambleclaw. I need to admit something to.” The RiverClan warrior paused. “I don’t want to be a Clan leader either.” Brambleclaw gasped as Hawkfrost continued. “I’ve always wanted to be…a lumberjack.” Instantly Hawkfrost put on a lumberjack costume and started to chop down a tree with an axe. Tears of delight came to Brambleclaw’s eyes and he sang, “He’s a lumberjack, and he's okay. He sleeps all night and he works all day.” Drowned out by Brambleclaw’s singing, Tigerstar sobbed, “StarClan, why?”

Now, now, you know that Hawkfrost wanted to be a lumberjack and Brambleclaw wanted to sing. XD *sniffs* The Pythons would be proud, though! *Eric Idol (sp?) roles over in his grave.*

I feel like putting one of these again for no apparent reason:
Title: No Chapters: It's oneshot, so...whatcha think? Author: Me of course, Moonstar Pairing: TigerXGolden Rating: G, maybe PG, but doubtful Spoilers: Forest of Secrets Summary: Goldenflower followed Tigerclaw out of ThunderClan camp to ask him one question..."Do you love me, Tigerclaw?" Warning: Angst Disclaimer: If I owned Warriors, it wouldn't be any good.
The dark brown tabby’s amber eyes blazed with fury as he walked away from the ThunderClan camp. All of those miserable pieces of fox-dung would pay for what they did to him, especially that kittypet Fireheart. Just the thought of the name made Tigerclaw’s long claws unsheathe. His mind was so filled with dark thoughts of revenge he was oblivious to the scent behind him, and was taken completely by surprise. The dark tabby tom could tell that his attacker was a ThunderClan she-cat, a queen with kits at that. This should be easy. Tigerclaw thought, rolling onto his back, crushing the queen. He pushed down, in an attempt to kill the ThunderClan cat. But with surprising strength her hind legs kicked and Tigerclaw was thrown. He turned and was about to leap when he looked into the she-cat’s amber eyes. They weren’t burning with anger like his, but filled love and hurt. “Goldenflower!” He exclaimed in surprise. “Tigerclaw.” She murmured sadly. “Why didn’t you ask me?” The queen asked suddenly after an awkward silence. “What?” Tigerclaw replied, filled with surprise. What was she talking about? “You didn’t ask me to go into exile with you.” Goldenflower mewed accusingly. Tigerclaw scoffed at that comment. “You’re loyal to that soft Clan. Would you even leave?” He growled. Their two amber gazes locked, and Goldenflower opened her mouth to speak. The ThunderClan queen’s answer nearly knocked Tigerclaw off his paws. “I don’t know. I love you, but I love ThunderClan.” Goldenflower mewed softly, her voice barely audible. Tigerclaw could only stare forward. She loved him? He had thought she just wanted to have a respected warrior’s kits. That would help her gain power. Was he really part of some mouse-brained love? Goldenflower stared at him, waiting for a reply. When he didn’t say anything, she asked, “Do you love me, Tigerclaw?” Tigerclaw’s heart pounded in his chest so hard he thought his ribcage would break. Tigerclaw was not a nice, kind, touchy-feely cat, but how could he answer that? After looking at her in shock and bewilderment for a few minutes, his gaze shifted to his paws. “No.” The dark brown tabby replied, and ran off, trying to escape the sound of Goldenflower’s pained gasp and the look of brokenness that had entered her eyes.
Sorry it's so short...it is a oneshot.

Not as good, but I love FirestarXLeafstar
Title: StarClan's Gift Chapters: One Author: Moonstar Pairing: FireXLeaf Rating: G Spoilers: Firestar's Quest Summary: She was looking for her lost love in the stars. However, it wasn’t a dead cat she was looking for... Warning: Sort of angst, though more flangst Disclaimer: Must we really go through this again?
The SkyClan leader stared up at the stars, a wistful look in her eyes. A wistful look of love and sorrow. She was looking for her lost love in the stars. However, it wasn’t a dead cat she was looking for. It was a cat who lived far away. Far, far away… She’d never forget the cat who helped rebuild StarClan. His bright, flaming pelt, and his yellow-green eyes filled with courage and compassion. He was an amazing leader and mentor. She risked her could’ve stayed in SkyClan…no, he was happy in ThunderClan. She just wished he could’ve stayed with her. She remembered above all, when they were together in the Whispering Cave. She had received support from Echosong, but that seemed like nothing compared to Firestar’s support. She hadn’t been sure if she trusted StarClan at that moment, but she knew one thing: she trusted him. She knew that as long he was by her side, no one could hurt her. No one. But when they left, she realized she was wrong. She was hurt badly, very badly. She knew it wasn’t the cat’s fault, but her stomach still churned with feelings of jealousy as she remembered Sandstorm. The sight of the two ginger pelts brushing together had made Leafstar wanted to wail out loud, but she had composed herself. She was a Clan leader, and Firestar was one too, of a different Clan. In away, the love would’ve been forbidden. Also, it was sort of unwise for a Clan leader to have kits. It wouldn’t be fair for Sharpclaw to have to run the Clan alone, with only one life to give, rather than nine. And Firestar would never betray Sandstorm. Leafstar felt a large twist of grief in her heart. No one heard her, for she was far from camp, but she yowled, “Why, StarClan? Why did you have to taunt me with Firestar, to make me fall in love, only so he’d be taken from me? How could you do this?” Her lips pulled back into a snarl, furious at her ancestors. She felt herself falling asleep, falling into a deep, deep sleep… “Leafstar.” A rasping voice mewed gently. The SkyClan she-cat opened her eyes to see an old dark gray tom with pale blue eyes watching her. “You just lost a life, due to grief. Please try to calm down.” It mewed softly. Leafstar felt a mixed rush of joy and anger that nearly knocked her off her paws. “Skywatcher…” She mewed in happy greeting, when the anger snatched her again. “That’s easy for you to say! You don’t know what I lost!” Skywatcher unsheathed his claws in frustration. “I…alright, I don’t. But you’re a Clan leader! You don’t have the luxury to just give up and be consumed by grief! What abut your Clan? We have a gift for you, one that will help you lead.” Skywatcher growled. “A gift? What are you talking about?” Leafstar mewed in confusion, but Skywatcher was gone.
Leafstar opened her amber eyes and stared back up at the stars, searching for StarClan’s gift. Then she heard Sharpclaw’s yowl. “Leafstar! Firestar’s come to visit!” Instantly the SkyClan leader was on her paws, rushing forward. Her paws drummed hard on the ground, and she came to a skidding halt as she approached the ThunderClan leader. “Leafstar.” “Firestar.” Their eyes locked together, and nothing could break the gaze of yellow-green and amber. “I love you.”

Thongfic! (Songfic). Suicide warning though.
Step one, you say we need to talk He walks you say sit down it's just a talk He smiles politely back at you You stare politely right on through There's some sort of window to your right As he goes left and you stay right You twist the lines of fear and blame You begin to wonder why you came
Leafpool crouched in the tangle of reeds, ignoring the wet, uncomfortable feeling of the cold water that churned around her paws. She narrowed her amber eyes, looking for the familiar dark brown tabby pelt. Finally she saw him, and she felt her heart beat, with both love and pain. “Hawkfrost!” The light brown tabby she-cat hissed softly. The dark tabby tom jumped slightly in surprise and turned. Looking around to make sure no warriors from his Clan was nearby, Hawkfrost walked over to his lover, his fur bristling. “Leafpool, why are you on my territory?” The RiverClan warrior hissed. “I…wanted to talk to you about Mothwing.” She mewed, and added, “For StarClan’s sake, sit down!” As he paced nervously. He sat down and the two smiled at each other. Fake, awkward smiles “To be honest I want to talk to you too.” The dark brown tabby tom meowed slowly. “Leafpool…Crowfeather…you betrayed me.” There was genuine hurt in his voice. The RiverClan warrior had hit a sensitive spot with those words. Leafpool’s fur bristled as she tried to defend herself and the WindClan warrior. “I…well…I know what you did to Mothwing!” The ThunderClan medicine cat burst out.
Where did I go wrong I lost a friend Somewhere in all the bitterness And I could've stayed up with you all night Had I known How to save a life
As Leafpool sat in her den, tears flowed freely out of her amber eyes down her cheeks. She lamented silently how if she hadn’t almost fallen that night, if she had avoided Crowfeather, maybe even if she hadn’t visited Hawkfrost…things could’ve been so different.
Let him know that you know best Cause after all you do know best Try to slip past his defense Without granting innocence Lay down a list of what is wrong The things you've told him all along And pray to God he hears you And pray to God he hears you
“Hawkfrost, I’m not just doing this for Mothwing. It’s also for you.” She mewed gently. “You shouldn’t have to use lies to get power.” When Hawkfrost just stared furiously at the ground, she added, “I wouldn’t love someone who acted like Tigerstar.” Hawkfrost’s ears pricked and his ice-blue eyes met Leafpool’s warm amber orbs, horror shadowing his face. But he didn’t reply. StarClan, he has to understand!
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend Somewhere along in the bitterness And I would have stayed up with you all night Had I known how to save a life
Hawkfrost sat in the warriors den, deep in thought. He still loved her. She had made mistakes, but nothing could shatter their love. But they could never be together again. Not after that fight. Hawkfrost shut his ice-blue eyes in rage and grief. He had been too severe, far too severe.
As he begins to raise his voice You lower yours and grant him one last choice Drive until you lose the road Or break with the ones you've followed He will do one of two things He will admit to everything Or he'll say he's just not the same And you'll begin to wonder why you came
“You’re threatening to leave because of what I did?” Hawkfrost snarled, not caring that any passing warrior could hear him. “You ran off with that WindClan warrior, completely forgetting me!” Leafpool cringed under Hawkfrost’s burning ice-blue gaze. She spoke softly, struggling to remain calm. “All I want you is to stop visiting your father…yes, I know about that too.” The ThunderClan medicine cat explained. “And you stay away from Crowfeather!” Hawkfrost hissed. “And I’m not giving up all I worked for in order to please a she-cat who’s going to run off with the next tom she sees!” The dark tabby tom spat and ran off, glad no one could see his tears.
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend Somewhere along in the bitterness And I would have stayed up with you all night Had I known how to save a life
Leafpool walked over to the bush. She didn’t have an apprentice. She couldn’t try to just escape; that was the coward’s way out. She couldn’t stand it anymore. Slowly, Leafpool pulled the right red berries off the bush. Squeezing her amber eyes tight against the tears, she swallowed them.
How to save a life…
Hawkfrost trudged into the lake, deeper and deeper. Soon he could tell the water level was over his head, but he remained calm, weighed down by grief. This was the way out, the only way to save himself from lifelong grief. Not bothering to take a breath, he plunged under water.
How to save a life…
