Short Chapter, but it's something.
Jaypaw had cheered up slightly at meeting Hawkfrost. He seemed like a friendly cat. At first he had heard that Hawkfrost, his father’s half-brother, was evil, but now the blue-gray tom knew that was just slander. Hawkfrost understood him. He looked forward to day’s end, so he could dream with Hawkfrost. Remembering Hawkfrost’s understanding managed to make him able to listen to Lionpaw’s eager news of his training. “I got to hunt today, and Birchtail said I did well. He said I should make a great warrior!” Jaypaw nodded patiently. Hollypaw sighed. “Well, I can’t seem to do anything right! I have trouble remembering what poppy seed is used for!” She wailed. The blue-gray apprentice pressed his nose into her flank. “You’ll do fine. You’re just new to this.” He murmured. At nightfall, Jaypaw eagerly curled up and went to sleep.
Hawkfrost’s scent entered Jaypaw’s nostrils. Sure enough, Jaypaw could hear his pawsteps, along with another cat’s. “Jaypaw, this is Tigerstar, you’re grandfather.” Hawkfrost said. Jaypaw ran his tail over the new cat, feeling his strong, muscular shape. “You are probably angry at Firestar,” Tigerstar mewed. “I also have anger for him. You can help us destroy him.” The blue-gray tom’s heart lurched. How could he betray his own Clan? It was hard enough to prove himself because of his blindness. “No!” He meowed as if he had suggested feeding himself to a badger. Tigerstar hissed, but kept his voice level. “We shall give you something great if you help us. The Sight.” Jaypaw was convinced. To see! Then he’d be able to fight and hunt, and prove Firestar wrong! And what did he have to do? Kill a cat he didn’t like. The blue-gray tom nodded eagerly in agreement. Hawkfrost touched noses with him, then Tigerstar. Suddenly a tortoiseshell she-cat appeared, a sweet scent swimming in his nostrils as she did. “Do not try to corrupt him, Tigerstar. I will not tolerate you doing this to Firestar’s kin.” She growled. Tigerstar’s eyes narrowed. “Fine, Spottedleaf. But we have given him the Sight! He’s bound to return to us.” Jaypaw could scent the new cat’s fear, but she just led him away. When they were a ways away, he growled, “What did you do that for? Hawkfrost is my friend!” Spottedleaf sighed. “No, Jaypaw, he isn’t. You don’t realize this yet, but if you were to keep meeting him, you’d learn the hard way.” She told him gently. Jaypaw spat in contempt. “If your slander is true, I will learn the hard way! Hawkfrost and Tigerstar are the only ones who believe in me. Everyone else thinks I’m weak! So I’m going to keep meeting them.” He snarled, and stalked off. Spottedleaf sighed. “He is like his grandfathers. Both Firestar and Tigerstar.” She whispered. “Will a prophecy repeat itself? Will fire and tiger destroy the forest?”

On one paw, I think another traitor would be cool, but on the other paw, who saves the day if he's evil, 'cause he's the main charcter.

*Groan* I read the Sight. I'm not sure if I'll be able to finish this now.
Jaypaw stretched and opened his blue eyes. Something wasn’t right. His eyes looked around frantically, and he heard Lionpaw’s voice. “Jaypaw? Are you alright? You seem…jumpy.” That was it! He could hear but not see! But Tigerstar promised! Jaypaw silently wailed. He almost said that to Lionpaw, but instead he yowled to his brother, “Lionpaw, I’m blind!” Idiot! He could hear Tigerstar hiss that, but the dark tabby was gone before more questions could be asked. The blue-gray tom also felt a slight prickle of guilt as he sensed Lionpaw’s sadness. He didn’t smell it like a fear scent; he just sensed it. “I know…it can’t be easy. Maybe Firestar should’ve had more faith in you…” Birchtail’s call got Lionpaw’s attention. “I got to go.” He mewed, and hurried off.
Hollypaw followed Leafpool, looking for any useful herbs. So far she had no luck, though Leafpool kept pointing out herbs she missed. “We’re low on marigold, so we’ll need that…Hollypaw! You just missed some lavender!” The light brown tabby sighed at her apprentice who was absent-mindedly watching a butterfly flutter around. “Hollypaw!” She called again. The black she-cat jumped. “I’m sorry, Leafpool!” Hollypaw said guiltily. The ThunderClan medicine cat’s shoulders twitched. “I should think so. Now pay more attention to herbs…oh, hello Thornclaw. I something the matter?” The golden tabby nodded, though he rolled his eyes slightly. “Molepaw has a thorn stuck in his pad. It makes him ‘far too weak and injured’ too come over to you, so can you please help him?” Hollypaw grinned slightly. She knew having a thorn stuck in your pad did really hurt, but she also knew that Molepaw tended to exaggerate. Leafpool purred in amusement. “The day he truly is he’ll say he’s dead. Alright, I’ll be right there. Hollypaw, look for herbs, but don’t stray too far.” The black she-cat nodded and walked off, keeping her eyes peeled for any medicine cat herbs. Suddenly she saw a berry bush. “That looks useful.” She muttered, and went over to it. Hollypaw was about to bite one off, but a voice said, “No!” and knocked her away. WindClan scent entered her nostrils and she hissed, “Get off me! And you’re on ThunderClan territory!” A silver tom released her, and began to lick his chest. “I would think you’d show more gratitude. Did you realize you almost took death berries?” He flicked his tail at the bush, and Hollypaw realized that the berries were bright scarlet. She shuddered at realizing how close to death she had been. “Sorry, uh…” “Breezepaw.” He answered. “I heard Leafpool say your name I think…Hollypaw?” She nodded. Breezepaw laughed lightly. “Leafpool’s apprentice are you? Well, for ThunderClan’s sake I hope you learn to stay away from yew…” He stopped as Hollypaw took in a short, angry breath, indicating he was going to far. He crouched to the ground humbly. “We all make mistakes…get down!” The silver tom suddenly hauled Hollypaw into a patch of gorse. She was about to protest when he said, “Look.” Blackstar, Rowanclaw, Marshfur, and his apprentice Topazpaw were hunting in ThunderClan territory. “Are you going to let them get away with that?” Breezepaw hissed. Hollypaw nodded. “They’re low on prey. Firestar gave him permission.” Breezepaw snorted. “You believe that? Then why was Maplepaw going on about Blackstar’s great plan to get more land right before Blackstar asked for that?” Hollypaw’s black ears flattened. Slowly she began to stalk the small golden-brown apprentice. “What are you doing?” Breezepaw demanded. Her tail flicked impatiently. “Getting them off our land! What does it look like?” The silvery tom sighed impatiently, but was instantly at her side. “You have no idea how mouse-brained I think this idea is,” He hissed. “But I won’t let you go in alone!”
