Brokenheart's tawny footpaws softly scuffled against the ground as the she-cat's orbs flashed sadly, before her muscles lurched, and she pounded forward. One of the warrior's ears flickered, angling slightly to pick up a faint noise, before she curled up, laying her slender tail across her front paws. Her striped face scanned the den momentarily, misty optics squinting at the imposing daylight that filtered through the den's entrance, before laying down her head, shifting her weight to one side. Although her lids closed with a flutter, and the she-cat's limbs were loose and relaxed, her heart beat frantically, ready lest an unexpected disturbance within the Clan arise.

*A dark gray cat enter the den with a fish clamped between his jaws. He looks around and admires the den's beauty as he always does, the shells along the edges, the feathers woven into the roof...Sighing contently he bites into his fish, when he notices Brokenheart.* Hey. *He murmurs in a quick greeting, then calmly resumes eating.*

Brokenheart's gaze flickered open momentarily to take in the tom's lean, gray form, before her body perked up as her nostrils picked up the scent of the fish he carried with him. Glancing away, kneading her paws against her bedding of flattened moss, she remarked softly, "Make sure you don't spill any." Just as she'd finished, however, her stomach gave an empty grumble, causing a light flush to heat the she-cat's skin.

Alright. And don't worry, I won't wander too far from the nursery! *Stormdusk, the gray cat, growls snidely. As soon as the words slip out, he feels a pang of regret. Well, I'm not going to be all, 'Oh dat was mean I'm sowwy.'. He thinks. Attempting to apologize without using words, he takes off a strip of the fish with his claw, and offers it to Brokenheart.* It's a large fish. Do you want some?
OOC: Sorry about Stormdusk. He can be a bit of a...jerk.

Brokenheart's ears flatten against her skull at the tom's snide remark, distaste glittering in her glazed orbs. However, despite the feline's attempts at making a peace offering, the she-cat is quick to turn her nose boldly up at Stormdusk, despite her stomach, which gave a painful convulsion. "I don't share with kits." She gave a hiss, the fur along her spine prickling; she wasn't being so much hostile as she was demeaning.
OOC:// Don't worry - you'll wanna slap Brokenheart soon enough. xD

OOC: I have lots of characters I'm sure people want to smack...they probably deserve it too. BIC: Fine! *Stormdusk snaps, narrowing his eyes until they were glittering, green slits. Apologies, no matter how vague, were rare things he offers. If they didn't want them, they didn't get many more. Fur bristling, he spits,* Next time you go on hunting patrol, I'm not taking anything you catch...if you catch anything at all!

At heart, Brokenheart was a good-humoured cat; however, when challenged or assaulted, she swiftly turned rebellious, hiding her shyness behind a hissing exterior. Her words had not been meant to originally offended Stormdusk, but he had taken it at face value, instead interpreting her words as she had not. Her words were meant to softly remind him that other warriors had to sleep in here, and leaving a mess, or a permanent fishy scent, would not be very considerate.
The she-cat bristled; every time she tried to do something good for others, it blew back in her face. Brokenheart would never accept help from another - she had been a loner within the Clan, ever since then - but she couldn't help but give it out. Now, she would have to refrain from further consideration for others, lest it cause another incident such as this. "Then you will surely starve - there's no way some impudent kit like you could even catch a dead mouse."

I'm no kit! *Stormdusk hisses, and jumps to his paws, claws unsheathed. Defiance and hostility smolders in his green eyes. Maybe he was being unfair, but she didn't show any signs of wanting to make peace, and Stormdusk was not a peacemaker.* Do you want me to show you that this 'kit' can rip your fur off? *The gray tom snarls, though he knows it would be unwise to fight within the Clan.*

The rebellious glint in the she-cat's eyes glimmered brightly as Stormdusk quickly took to his paws, releasing his retracted claws. Instantaneously, Brokenheart swept to her own paws, thick striped fur bristling like static, a smirk curling her lips as Stormdusk challenged her. "I hope you realise the repercussions of this." She laid her ears flat against her skull. "Don't think I won't kill my own Clan - I've done it before." Warning sparked the feline's mews, and she voluntary dragged up her past on this occasion; no doubt Stormdusk had been present - the whole Clan had been sent into a frenzy. Although she had been declared innocent, and believed herself so... it didn't mean that she hadn't been part of Lafgale's death. Honestly, she didn't want to fight Stormdusk; but she had far too much pride and youth to back down.

*Your brother has enough to worry about without his warriors fighting each other. Batwing, his kits... Stormdusk thinks to himself, his own heartaching a bit as he remembers the disappearance of Rainpaw, Snowpaw, and Darkpaw, his own nephews and niece, along with two apprentices named Waterpaw and Hawkpaw. But he started this; and he is ready to continue it.* We all know you have...traitor! *The gray tom sneers, hoping to goad her on.* You didn't even do it yourself though. You let a wretched Twoleg and its monster do it for you. From that day I knew Moonstar one fault was that he was too forgiving.

Stormdusk's words stung the she-cat, piercing her deep in her heart; she was sure Moonstar's verdict had been a fair one, yet it seemed not all the cats in RiverClan agreed with his judgement. Stormdusk was a prime example of this, and her spirit sank to think that he really thought of her as such. Abruptly leaning back on her haunches, her vocals darkened, and Brokenheart unsheathed her claws with a soft chink!
"'Traitor'? Oh, how naive you are; do you honestly believe I would willingly kill the one I loved? Many times have I wished it was as simple as treason." She spat, voice a cold hiss. "Go one - try to kill me; see that anyone will miss me. StarClan is the only place for such a burdensome cat." For a brief moment, Brokenheart let her sorrow bleed from her soul, misty eyes hardened, soft features as cold as ice. Her ears lain horizontally across her skull, orbs bitter - she was waiting to see whether Stormdusk would lash out at her.
What would happen if he did? She would fight back with all she had, channeling the fury and desperation of her past at the tom; Stormdusk was bigger, and a few moons older, but regardless, she would at least show him her determination. But then again, with the recent disturbances and disappearances - would it really be wise to pick a fight? Surely a fight to the death was out of question - or was it? How cruel could Stormdusk really be?

*Stormdusk has no intention of killing her, just wants to give her some scratches to show her he's no kitm, but, he decided, she doesn't need to know that. His fur begins lie flat at her words, but a voice inside him says, Soft coward!, and he responds by leaping at Brokenheart. But instead of feeling the young she-cat, or in the case she made a successful dodge, the den floor, he feels jerked back suddenly. Landing in an awkward heap on the floor, he looks up to see Moonstar. The RiverClan leader's thin, dulled pelt was now bristling, and piercing green eyes that had lost their luster now smoldered with rage.* Stormdusk! I expect better of you. In my den...both of you! *He isn't really as angry at Brokenheart, but he needs the reason from both pont-of-views why Stormdusk attacked her.*
OOC: Btw, Moonstar looks weak because he went into a depressed haze after he was betrayed for the fifth time. He lives a cheery life, huh?

*Stormdusk flattens his ears at the dark tabby, and hisses.* That doesn't concern you. It just concerns Brokenheart and I! *He growls, a hostile glint in his green eyes.* Stormdusk. *Moonstar growls in warning. To Icefur he murmurs,* Thank you, keep an eye on them, particularily Stormdusk as we go to my den. *With that, the black RiverClan leader turns toward his den and leaves.*
